Balance – Assembly

Balance is a combination of a black marble base, hand-blown glass and metal spheres atop steel boards. The custom LEDs were designed to spread light evenly and to last a long time.

There were no standard solutions, we had to invent almost every part through the design process. The challenge was to come up with a design that made it easy to replace the bulbs and at the same time make the lamp stable enough to carry the weight of steel and glass. The result – a sculptural design piece.
